Ba: The Hindoostane Coffee House was the first Indian restaurant outside India. It was opened by Bengali born (Present Bangladesh) Sake Dean Mahomed, a captain in the British East India Company, on George Street, London, England, in 1810.

The most positive reviews of this restaurant are the ones you should believe. The food is great, the staff is hardworking and pleasant...and they deliver quickly when not too busy. I have been a fan of this restaurant for many years and thru a few different owners. Some years have been better than others - presently it is very good. As an example of the staff's kindness : Tonight the delivery driver went beyond duty to try and help me. I accidentally locked myself out of the house when receiving the food and panicked. The driver reassured me and stayed until I had a solution...more than many people would do. The samosas, naan and Indian style Butter Chicken I ordered was delicious! Don't miss out 🙂
